This family recently welcomed their second child in April 2025, joining big brother who turned one in January! Dad is a teacher at a local private school and mom works fully remote. They are looking for a nanny is available to help their family 4 days a week, with grandma caring for the kids one day per week. The family lives in the Shelby Hills neighborhood of Nashville and are loving it. Their eldest has been used to going for stroller walks to Shelby Park several days a week, and they anticipate outings with both kids this fall when their new nanny joins their team.

HOURS: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 8 – 4 PM,
Guaranteed hours: 32/week
Start date: Early August 2025
Duration: School year duration (August 2025 – May 2026)

About the family: They are rooted in trust and quality time and are an affectionate family. Dad loves to cook and they enjoy sitting down to eat as a family with their boys. Having moved to East Nashville last year, they have loved exploring their new neighborhood’s shops, cafes, parks, and restaurants! Both parents strive to be intentional, loving, and hands on parents, making sure they hold, hug, show, and tell their little guys how much they are loved! They value reading and free play and getting outside in the fresh air.

Because Mom is fully remote, she will be in the office most of the day yet she loves to be able to sneak in a few hugs and kisses from the boys in between meetings. They are looking for a nanny that is comfortable with Mom being around the space frequently as it is a cozy house.

Key responsibilities

- Arrive on time to ensure both parents can get their work days started on time
- Providing structure to each day and facilitating the day’s routines for both kids including bottles, diapering, playtime, melas, and naps. Maintaining the kid’s schedules is important to the parents to ensure consistency day to day.
- Comforting and soothing the kids whenever they need it, they would prefer someone very affectionate who will cuddle and soothe when the littles are sad.
- Getting out and about when it’s weather appropriate on walks and kid-friendly activities around East Nashville (family will provide car seats but they do not have an extra vehicle - outings aren’t required but would be encouraged if their nanny wants to use their own vehicle.)
- Spending awake time facilitating both child-led play and ample free play and incorporating learning-based activities that promote each child’s developmental milestone achievement.
- Supporting the parents with choices they make and the parenting plan they choose to follow, this includes the overall structure of the day and:
o no screen time (firm)
o respecting the family's dietary choices such as no cookies or sweets


REQUIREMENTS
● Minimum 3 years of professional childcare experience
● Minimum 1 year of nanny experience (part or full time)
● Minimum 2 years of professional infant experience
● Minimum 1 year experience with ages 1y-2y
● Non-smoker/vaper
● Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

COMPENSATION
Hourly: $26 - $28/hr to commensurate with experience
PTO, Paid holidays + sick days offered
