THE DETAILS

This family is looking for someone who will love working with their sweet and active son, and who will continue to foster his education at home and within the community. Mom and dad both have busy, demanding careers with a lot of travel, so it’s important to have a punctual, skilled, flexible and experienced Nanny who is a self-starter and captain of the activity planning committee! Communication will be #1; they want someone who is great at open lines of communication and can keep mom and dad updated with an agenda and photos of all the fun being had! This family is very private and is seeking a nanny who will respect and promote that.

All needs related to B3’s day will be required. This will include grocery shopping and healthy meal prep, his laundry, keeping his things tidy and organized, and keeping up with tasks such as child-related inventory (diapers, wipes, soap, sunscreen, snacks) rotating toys, clothes, purchasing new items after approval, etc. Additional care tasks like bathing and bedtime will be required when doing overnights. Driving is a responsibility in this role, whether it’s taking B3 to the grocery store to get his groceries for the week or taking him on a daily adventure. The family encourages spending time outdoors and being out of the house at developmentally appropriate activities. They have loved that his current nanny takes him on hikes regularly, plans outings for every day that are enriching and fun for him, plans playdates with other nannies, and takes pride and accountability in fostering his early education.

This family has done their best to create an environment for their son to have independence in his daily routines and he loves to be involved with tasks such as his laundry. He is also in the process of potty training, which they hope to have tackled in the next few months. They also look to their nanny to model and reinforce manners, which is woven into everyday conversation and actions. These parents find that having a “Montessori” approach in his day and learning style bode best with their son. They are also very keen on being calm and regulated around him, especially when he has big feelings, which is best met with getting on his level and talking things out.
