They recently moved to their forever home on 22 acres in Kingston Springs and love every moment of soaking in nature and quiet. They love going on walks around their property, reading bedtime stories on their porch swing, and are working on their dream of spending weekends golfing as a family!

THE DETAILS

As physicians and entrepreneurs, this couple is the definition of hard-working, but that comes with a welcome balance of being present and intentional parents to their three awesome kids. They prioritize their family and aim to raise kind, curious, respectful, hardworking, and resilient people who live up to their potential! They feel like life is all about balance, and while their hopes are high for the individuals they become, it wouldn’t be possible without having fun, trying new things, accepting failure, and lots of laughter along the way. As avid readers, they read to their kids daily and want to foster a love for learning in their precious little souls. They love being outside and letting them explore and be curious around their 22 acre property, equipped with a gated pond and swing set too!

In this role, a typical day will start with getting their oldest out the door to school (mom takes her) and getting breakfast for their littles and spending a morning playing outside, doing learning activities, or getting creative with arts and crafts. The littles do take a nap and depending on the day, there will be laundry, simple organizing, or tidying-up to take care of. Afternoons are again active and stimulating before mom is home to relieve the nanny. Friday mornings are off, but mom does work afternoons so the 12 – 5 shift would cover lunch, nap, and afternoon playtime. They expect most days to be spent in play-based activities, reading with the kids, doing arts and crafts, and weaving learning moments in. They live near some fun playgrounds and an epic splash-pad that provides lots of summer fun! Given they’re off the beaten path, they don’t anticipate outings to be too far from home, but they will have a vehicle for their nanny to use while on duty. These parents give the reigns over to their nanny and don’t micromanage their day, but allow the nanny to make decisions on schedule and routine given the pace and circumstances of the day.

A good fit is someone who is easy-going but takes their work seriously. Mom and dad have had wonderful relationships with past au pairs and are looking for someone that they connect well with too and feel friendly and familiar with. They take parenting seriously and intentionally, so communication and being on the same page with approach is paramount. They describe their parenting style as authoritative; nurturing, responsive + supportive, but setting firm limits and boundaries. They employ Dr. Becky’s “Good Inside” philosophies and are looking for someone who values life-long learning. They are opening their hearts and home to someone who will grow with their family, bring a positive energy and spark to the day, and who will help them raise their tiny humans to be wonderful people!
