These first-time parents are feeling lucky to have the sweetest little boy in their lives. He is the center of their world, and his grandparent’s too! Dad went back to teaching this fall and mom works fully remote. They are looking for a part time nanny who can split the week with grandma and care for their little angel boy! The family recently moved into the Shelby Hills neighborhood of Nashville and are loving their new neighborhood. They are expecting another little one this Spring, so the position will eventually be working with both little ones.

SCHEDULE
Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Guaranteed hours: 24/week
Start date: January 6, 2025
Duration: At minimum 1 year

About the family: This family loves to travel and has lived abroad until recently moving back stateside. They are rooted in trust and quality time and are an affectionate family! Dad loves to cook and they enjoy sitting down to eat as a family with their baby boy on their lap. Being new to East Nashville, they have loved exploring their new neighborhood’s shops, cafes, and restaurants! They both strive to be intentional, loving, and hands on parents, making sure they hold, hug, show, and tell their little man how much he is loved! They value reading and free play, and while they aren’t opposed to toys, most of what their son enjoys getting his hands on right now is simple, safe real-life materials.
Because Mom is fully remote, she will be in the office most of the day yet she loves to be able to sneak in a few hugs and kisses from baby boy in between meetings. They are looking for a nanny that is comfortable with Mom being around the space frequently as it is a cozy house.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Arrive on time to ensure both parents can get their work days started on time
- Providing structure to each day and facilitating the day’s routines for B10mo including bottles, diapering, playtime, and naps. Maintaining the baby’s schedule is important to the parents to ensure consistency day to day.
- Comforting and soothing B10mo whenever he needs it.
- Getting out and about when it’s weather appropriate on walks, or eventually to kid-friendly activities around East Nashville (family will provide a car seat but they do not have an extra vehicle - outings aren’t required but would be encouraged if their nanny wants to use their own vehicle.)
- Spending awake time facilitating both child-led play and ample free play and incorporating learning based activities that promote his developmental milestone achievement.
- Supporting the parents with choices they make and the parenting plan they choose to follow, this includes the overall structure of the day and
- no screen time (firm)
- respecting their dietary choices such as no added sugar in baby's diet


REQUIREMENTS
● Minimum 3 years of professional childcare experience
● Minimum 1 year of nanny experience (part or full time)
● Minimum 2 years of professional infant experience
● Non-smoker/vaper
● Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

COMPENSATION
Hourly: $25 - $28/hr to commensurate with experience, pay increase when responsible for an additional child
