CONFIDENT, RELIABLE + EXPERIENCED INFANT NANNY FOR NEWBORN GIRL DUE IN MAY

These soon-to-be first time parents are getting prepared to welcome their baby girl in May of 2025! Both mom and dad run their own businesses and will be diving back into work relatively soon after their little one arrives. They’re looking for a supportive and experienced nanny to join them shortly after her birth to grow with them from the very beginning. They believe in raising a child who is respectful, kind, emotionally intelligent, and independent. They imagine their family running on a routine, with schedules and predictability to ensure consistency. These busy soon-to-be parents enjoy living in the heart of walkable 12 South and have a welcoming, and calm home.
SCHEDULE
June – August: Monday – Friday 9 am – 5 pm
September – ongoing: Monday – Thursday 8 am – 5 pm, Friday 8:30 am – 12:30 pm
Flexibility: They would like to keep the schedule open for discussion since they aren’t 100% sure what their needs will be, but it will not stray too far from what is listed above
Guaranteed hours: 40/week

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
● Provide attentive, nurturing care—anticipating and meeting the infant’s daily needs, including feeding, diapering, soothing, and supporting developmental milestones.
● Prepare bottles or bring baby to nurse with mom.
● Track baby’s schedule using an app shared with all caregivers and navigate a family calendar app.
● Maintain established routines and schedules.
● Engage in daily walks and, as the baby grows, plan baby-friendly outings (library visits, baby classes, etc.).
● Manage baby’s laundry and keep bottles/dishes clean.
● Assist with baby’s food preparation when the time comes.
● Keep the home clean and tidy—parents are very organized and appreciate a well-kept space.
● Monitor stock of baby essentials and replenish as needed.
● Communicate effectively, providing updates and adapting responsibilities as the baby’s needs evolve.
● Assist with light household duties while baby naps, such as washing household linens, wiping down counters, or unloading the dishwasher.
● Light pet care for the family’s beloved dog including letting outside 1-2 times a day, refilling the water bowl, and potentially allowing to tag-a-long on a walk occasionally.

REQUIREMENTS
● Minimum three years of professional infant care experience, with at least two years being recent
● Minimum two years of nanny experience with longevity in previous roles
● Experience caring for toddlers (ages one to three)
● CPR certified
● Non smoker/vaper
● Familiarity with sleep training or similar methods
● Vaccinated for childhood immunizations, Tdap, and flu (for baby’s first year)
COMPENSATION
Hourly: $28 - $31/hour gross to commensurate with experience
PTO, Paid holidays, Sick Days: offered
Health insurance stipend: Included, stipend amount negotiable
