Location: West Nashville, 37205, moving to Green Hills (37215) in February.

This returning SSN client is a close-knit family looking for a partner to help them take on the day to day with their three young kids, B5.5, B4, G2. They need a level-headed nanny/family assistant to partner with mom and be comfortable jumping from childcare to household duties depending on the day. They are rounding out the school year with all three in school for a few days each week, but their littlest is still home the majority of the time, which will change slightly next fall. This fairly casual family loves to maximize their time together and have welcomed the slower pace of life here in the South after leaving NYC a few years ago.

SCHEDULE:
M: 8:30 – 6:30 or 8 - 6
T/TH 1:30 – 6:30
W/F: 10:30 – 6:30
GUARANTEED HOURS: 35/week*
Family can guarantee 40 hours with 5 flex hours added per week for an evening or weekend shift
START DATE: January 27, 2025
DURATION: Ideally a 2-3 year commitment

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Toggle between household duties and childcare, with an emphasis on more household duties starting in Fall 2025 when all three kids are in school more often.
• Tag team the day with mom who has paused her career while her children are little.
• Bring imagination and engaged playtime when with the kids, participating in things that interest them to connect and build a relationship.
• Manage time well and keep up with the pace of each day, remaining timely and reliable is essential.
• Assist with errands, picking up/organization, laundry, and other FA duties to support the flow of the home.
• Prep/heat up kid’s dinner which consists of simple meals.
• Comfortable working in a home with parents involved and around, but also full capable of working autonomously when needed
• Driving the kids to activities and/or school pick up as-needed
• Maintain safety among the kids physically and mindfulness of one child’s food allergies (severe enough for an epi-pen).
• Run on routine and structure, but also be flexible when plans change or adaptations need to be made.
• Take the children on outings or to playdates when they are not in school, this will be more frequent with G2 as she is only in school 2 days/week right now.
• Remining calm and patient with the kids and working with mom/dad to be a united, consistent parenting team.
• Provide very occasional overnight care if both parents are traveling.
• Potentially travel with the family on 1-2 family trips per year.


REQUIREMENTS
- Three years of professional childcare experience with ages 2 – 5+
- 2 years minimum of full time, professional nanny experience
- Family Assistant experience/desire to grow into more of a FA role
- Experienced with nannying up to 3 kids
- Collaborative approach but also able to work autonomously
- Able to adapt caregiving style to meet each child’s needs/personality
- Clean driving record + valid driver’s license
- Composed during big emotions and able to be a role model for the children
- Excellent communication skills both with the parents + the children
- Experienced or knowledgeable with food allergies + comfort with epi-pen


COMPENSATION
Hourly: $28 - $30/hour gross depending on qualifications
