Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM (occasional 8:00 AM–5:00 PM)

This close-knit + loving soon-to-be family of four is eagerly preparing to welcome their second child in May, who will join big brother who is 3. They enjoy spending quality time together; singing, reading, cooking, playing outdoors, and embracing silly, joyful moments. Both parents work from home and are very involved in their children's lives, sharing parenting duties equally, but definitely need a nanny’s support during the work week. Their parenting philosophy is rooted in positivity, respect, empathy, and encouraging independence through a Montessori-inspired lens. They are seeking a warm, experienced, and highly dependable nanny to join their family team and help care for their new baby starting in July, when he will be around 8 weeks old. Big brother will be in school full time, and the majority of care will be for their baby.

Key Responsibilities:

Infant Care & Development
• Provide attentive, loving care to the infant during the day
• Follow and maintain age-appropriate feeding, nap, and play routines established by the parents.
• Prepare and serve purees and solid foods as baby grows
• Engage baby in developmentally appropriate play and learning activities
• Track feeding/sleeping using a shared app

Household & Child-Related Tasks
• Prepare bottles, meals, and snacks for children
• Clean up child-related messes throughout the day
• Keep nursery, playroom, and common areas tidy
• Organize and rotate toys and seasonal clothing
• Maintain inventory of child supplies (diapers, wipes, etc.)
• Children’s laundry for baby and B3

Additional Expectations
• Provide care for 3-year-old on occasion (school closures, sick days)
• Plan at-home or walkable activities such as outdoor time, stroller walks, and sensory play
• Ensure screen-free environment for the infant
• Maintain clear, professional communication with parents throughout the day
• Flexibility to occasionally adjust end time as discussed in advance

Ideal Candidate Qualities
• Experienced with infants: Confident, skilled, and knowledgeable in all areas of infant care
• Strong work ethic: Reliable, punctual, and fully engaged throughout the workday
• Kind, caring, and patient: Genuinely enjoys spending time with babies and young children
• Excellent communicator: Proactive with providing updates, remaining detail-oriented, and honest with mistakes, issues, or concerns.
• Collaborative: work with the parents in a collaborative and cohesive way to ensure consistency and respecting their parenting choices, and sharing a work environment where both parents work from home.
• Developmentally aware: Brings creativity to play and learning; understands gross/fine motor skill development
• Organized and proactive: Anticipates needs, keeps track of supplies, and maintains a tidy space
• Bonus: Early childhood development training, swimming skills, and experience with Montessori or positive discipline

Requirements:
• Minimum 3 years of professional childcare experience
• Minimum 2 years of experience working with infants starting at 2/3 months old
• Minimum 1 year of long-term nanny experience
• Excellent references from past childcare jobs
• Non smoker/vaper
• Able to make a 1 year commitment
• Longevity in former roles


COMPENSATION
Hourly: $25 - $28/hr gross based on qualifications
PTO, Sick Time, Paid Federal holidays: offered
