SCHEDULE
• School Year Hours: Monday–Friday, 10:30 AM – 5:30 PM (with flexibility until 6:00 PM)
• School Breaks/Summer Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30/6:00 PM
• Occasionally a later evening when parents have a late work event
• Minimum Hours Guaranteed: 35 hours per week
• Start Date: Week of July 21
• Duration: July 21, 2025 - November 26, 2025 (4 month commitment)

About the Role:

This close-knit, faith-based family of four is seeking a reliable and engaging Short-term Family Assistant to support their active household while their Nanny/FA of 11 years is on maternity leave. Both parents work together at their family-founded company, and their two energetic boys, 11 and 9, attend a Christian private school where they stay busy with football, basketball, and outdoor play. They are laid back, respectful, and appreciate giving their nanny autonomy as long as the job is being done well. This role blends childcare for two boys with thoughtful household support to ensure the family home runs smoothly and the children are nurtured, supported, and engaged in their daily routines as they have been for over a decade by their beloved Nanny!

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

NANNY DUTIES (daily from 2:30 - 5:30/6):
• School pick-up and transportation to afterschool activities and appointments – the boys attend a small private Christian school and play football and basketball.
• Homework assistance/ensure it gets done
• Preparing simple school lunches for the children
• Helping children maintain organized rooms and play areas and holding them accountable for completing chores.
• Engaging in developmentally appropriate play, reading, and activities – they are active boys who love sports and also love their down time.
• Coordinating playdates
• Implementing consistent routines and daily structure
• Supervising swimming

FAMILY ASSISTING DUTIES (daily from 10:30 – 2:30):
• Daily dog walking and supporting children with pet care
• Family laundry — wash, fold, and put away
• Managing household repairs, appointments, and vendors
• Light daily tidying and dishes
• Scheduling a babysitter on the family’s sitter list if unable to stay late on a night they need help
• Sorting recycling
• Grocery shopping and restocking household supplies
• Overseeing housekeepers, deliveries, and contractors
• Preparing the home for guests and visitors
• Running errands as needed


Ideal Candidate Will Be:
• Reliable, proactive, and professional
• Kind, energetic, discreet, and engaging with children
• Trustworthy and respectful of the family’s privacy and home
• Able to manage time effectively and take initiative
• Experienced with boys this age and the dynamic between siblings close in age (friendly play turning competitive, quarrels, etc.)
• Able to occasionally flex hours later
• Comfortable working both independently and as a team with the family

REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum 3 years of professional childcare experience
• 2 years of Family Assistant experience
• Experience with boys ages 9+
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Vehicle to use for work purposes
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to renew/obtain before start date)
• Automobile insurance that covers transporting children for work purposes
• Excellent references
• Ability to sign and NDA and maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
• Non smoker/vaper

COMPENSATION
Hourly: $28 – 30/hour
PTO, Paid holidays, sick days: offered and will reflect the short term commitment
