Loving parents to B3.5 and GNB are seeking a dedicated, experienced, and professional nanny to join their team and care for their newborn daughter. An ideal fit would have extensive newborn experience and have a degree in child development or early childhood education. Mom is a physician and dad is a lawyer, so they both have demanding positions that fill up their day and often carry over into the weekend, so they really rely on their nanny to take on the day to day with confidence. Hailing from Canada and Massachusetts, they don’t have family in town so they’re looking for an extension of themselves to be an integral part of their village. The position will be exclusively for their infant as they have a nanny who is dedicated to their toddler's needs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Carrying out the day to day routines and schedules for the newborn (~4 months at time of position)
• Great at working independently, requiring little direction, but also able to respect and fulfill parent’s wishes in parenting dynamics/philosophy.
• Providing a stimulating, enriching, and developmentally focused environment that focuses on meeting milestones, which should include talking, singing, reading, tummy time, and more. Utilizing a background in child development would be preferred to adapt daily play to meet the growing needs of the child.
• Taking initiative to plan educational play, go for walks, or eventually walk to the park nearby.
• Tidying up throughout the day and ensuring all child-related items are kept clean, put away, and organized (toys, dishes, books, clothing) and doing children’s laundry.
• Occasional driving to pick up the older child may be required
• Able to travel for short vacations or work-related trips (very occasional) and work weekend hours on occasion.
• Excellent communicator
• No screen time or screen use around the children
REQUIREMENTS
