DEPENDABLE, TENDER + KINDHEARTED NANNY FOR A SWEET & PLAYFUL 2 YEAR OLD GIRL
Location: Bellevue, TN 37221, off hwy 100 near Bellevue YMCA
Pets: 2 dogs (Rhodesian Ridgebacks) + 2 cats (low allergen)
This young family treasures calm environments and meaningful quality time together, whether playing games, visiting the zoo, reading, or simply being present with one another. Their quiet, tidy home serves as a peaceful retreat from the demands of their busy professional lives. Both parents work in high-pressure jobs during the week, making their time off especially precious. After navigating an unstable daycare experience, they are seeking a nanny who can provide the consistency and reliability they need during the weekdays. They hope to find someone who will care for their little girl with love, keeping her safe and happy while mom and dad focus on work.
SCHEDULE
Monday – Friday 40 hours scheduled between 8 AM – 5 PM*
*schedule will vary slightly due to mom’s rotating schedule in the hospital, but start time is generally between 8 – 9 AM and end time of 4 – 5 pm.
Occasionally the family may need 1 to 3 hours of overtime in a given week, with notice.
Guaranteed hours: 40/week
Start date: February/ASAP
Duration: Minimum 1 year, but foresee growing with a nanny for years to come as their family grows too
About the child: G2 is an incredibly sweet and wonderful little girl. She loves to read, draw, and play pretend. She can be reserved at first but becomes very affectionate once she warms up. Each night before falling asleep, she always asks about the people she loves (aww!) A great fit to her personality is a nanny who will bring tenderness, consistency, creativity, and joy into her world.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Childcare & Activities
o Foster G2’s confidence and social development through engaging, age-appropriate activities at home or out in the community.
o Promote learning through reading, crafts, and games.
o Plan creative and enriching playtime, including outdoor activities and social opportunities.
o Support G2’s daily routine, including morning snack, lunch, nap, and afternoon snack.
2. Household Assistance
o Assist with light household tasks during G2’s nap or other appropriate times, the extend of which is tidying up areas that have been used by nanny and G2 that day and keep G2’s toys and play areas tidy.
o Not required but a HUGE wish list item would be helping with meal planning, grocery shopping, and dinner prep 1-2 nights per week. They eat healthy, but it’s mostly takeout or pre-made meals. This would be prioritized over asking for help with laundry or loading/unloading the dishwasher.
3. Toddler Development Support
o Help G2 navigate toddlerhood with patience and encouragement.
o Follow through on boundaries and gentle discipline techniques as outlined by the family.
o Promote positive behaviors, such as saying “please,” “thank you,” and apologizing when necessary.
o Support ongoing potty training efforts that the parents will begin in February.
4. Family Values & Communication
o Embrace a calm, present-focused environment, minimizing screen time and prioritizing quality interaction.
o Exhibit qualities of gentleness, kindness, consistency, honesty, and dependability.
o Maintain open, upfront, clear communication with parents regarding G2’s progress or any issues that arise.
5. Flexibility
o Provide additional support during weeks when mom works in the ICU, such as light household help (1 week per month).
o Adapt to varying schedules, as Mom’s ICU weeks may result in lighter duties during her off weeks.
o Comfortable working with parents who have hybrid schedules, dad WFH 2 days a week and mom WFH or is off about 1 week/month.
REQUIREMENTS
• 3 years of professional childcare experience
• Minimum 2 years of nanny experience
• Ideal longevity in former nanny roles
• Valid driver’s license + clear driving record
• Safe vehicle to use for outings with G2 (mileage reimbursed)
• Non-smoker/vaper
• Able to make a 1 year commitment
• Pet-friendly and comfortable around friendly family pets
COMPENSATION
Hourly: $25 - $30/hr gross depending on qualifications
PTO, Paid holidays, sick days: offered
Health insurance stipend: offered
Mileage reimbursement: offered
